I am very hesitant to order this as there are no reviews on file. However, the seller was quick to answer all my questions, so I believed. I am deeply impressed. The quality is much higher than I expected. The pipe is steel but painted to look aged and I would add that it is well made and very authentic looking. The wood is solid, not MDF. It looks like pine but also has an aged look (only on one side of the wood panels). It literally took me 30 minutes to assemble the entire shelf. Arrived very well packaged and on time. No parts are missing. The instructions were similar to Ikea but you don't really need them as they are very easy to assemble without tools. They need to be fixed to the wall, but not necessarily to the floor. In fact, it's best not to mount on the floor as you can screw on/unscrew the leg caps to ensure a snug fit on the floor after you mount them on the wall, similar to furniture leg levelers. The photos added here show a table with a stool, my laptop and a 24 inch monitor to give you perspective, as well as boring shelves. Below are some pointers that I think will be helpful to everyone. I highly recommend this for limited space. or even a child's room - especially if you want it without much depth and close to the wall, as in my case. 1. Floor to bottom of table (knee room): 27.5" 2. Table top to middle shelf (headroom): 28" 3. Wall to front of table: 13.75" 4. For top Shelves I recommend that you turn the piece Place the wood upside down so the annoyance is facing down This is the side you will see due to the height of the top shelf so it will need to be flipped to view the whole To give unit a uniform look Before installing the shelves, assemble and tighten well by hand all pipe fittings This will ensure all parts are the same length resulting in a level table/shelves.
