Excellent Screen for Customized DM Tables

I bought this screen specifically to use with my own customized DM screen tables. I have some screens from previous editions that I had clipped my sheets too but I wanted a cleaner system. The screen is four panels which will hold letter sized paper in portrait orientation. The screen comes with four sheets that are printed to resemble a tome with a gem stone in the middle that you can put on the player side. It also comes with 4 DM sheets with basic information for 5e D&D and Pathfinder. Since I use my own sheets I won't be reviewing these but I could tell they didn't have the information I wanted. Now for the reason I bought this screen you can easily slide in your own customized DM screen tables and sheets. I have 3 regular play panel that have conditions, commonly referenced rules, light conditions, ability checks, cover, resting healing and grappling information. On the forth panel I typical change it out with "adventure specific" information such as a map or some of the main NPCs in the town the party is visiting. On the player side rather that just have a blank wall I have tables with information they might need to reference like concentration rules, can you use sneak attack chart, useful objects, various types actions and what you can use them for. Since we are all old school gamers I have artwork from 1e D&D interspersed between the tables.I love having exactly the information I want and my players like have their information and the customized artwork. One this to note that when you chose the color it is NOT the tome panel cover it IS the color of the actual screen backing. I choose brown and print my screens on a parchment color paper which looks nice. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to use their own customized screens.

Pros
  • It's incredibly easy to set up and take down, thanks to the 4-panel design that easily folds up
Cons
  • Ink from markers stains the dry erase surface
