I bought it for my 4 year old grandson. He loves gaming but lives in the world of touch devices. His buttons are a bit different. My son and I tried playing a few games but there are no clear instructions. There are arrows to buttons on either side of the screen (a prompt to press one), but when you press them, often nothing happens. Also, the fine print says "Press the button to start" - a 4 year old can't read it. He played with it for about 5 minutes and was completely uninterested. Also, the original one I received didn't work on batteries so I had to send it back to get another one that works on batteries. I was very disappointed with this toy - it looks and feels very cheap, uncomfortable for small children (4-5 years) but too childish for bigger children (6-7 years). In the days of touchscreens, switches, and razor-sharp knobs, that was a waste of money, and it was about time. Not worth the money and will most likely end up in the trash in a month.
