Review on ๐Ÿซ Chocolate Queen/King Home Details Dust Ruffle Bed Skirt by Deborah Velarde

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Thin fabric and no frills

I used to always use "full cover" bed ruffles (a sheet of fabric that is laid over the duvet and has ruffles sewn onto it for hanging down). on three sides). So I thought I'd try this style for an "easy fit" but was disappointed. I tossed it in the wash and ironed straight out of the washing machine (I always iron once to get rid of the creases in the packaging). The ruffles are well done (stitching etc) but the fabric is very thin and sheer. It was a real struggle to get it evenly tensioned around the corners to keep the elastic from popping out between the mattress and box spring and "lost". The length of the elastic was very tight on my queen bed (sorry to anyone trying to use queen/king on a real king) and apart from the time I adjusted it , there was no "turning". . just a thin fabric hanging down. Also, I've found that the elastic dangles and shifts when making the bed or changing the linens, requiring some sort of pin to keep it securely in place. Honestly, I'd prefer to go back to the "full coverage" ruffle style, but I'll leave this one as it's already on the bed. I would not recommend this style to anyone nor would I buy this style again for myself.
