Good quality chrome plated and precision cut/glued automotive tape. I was expecting a solid letter (either plastic or metal). However, the letters are made of lightweight plastic. Time will tell if they survive the winter weather in PNW. Don't rely on the "frame" foam strip to line up the letters correctly. If the details are important to you, you will need to mask off the layout with blue masking tape and measure 2 inches between each letter to ensure a straight and clean application.
