Best Threadripper Cooler You Can Buy

Bought both an Enermax LIQTECH TR4 360 and a Noctua NH-U14S TR4-SP3 for a Threadripper 1950X overclocked to 4.0GHz. I wanted to try both. After a week of use, Enermax came back for a refund. In short, the fans are too loud. Both coolers do a great job of cooling: Enermax outperforms Noctua on a 20-minute overclock with Prime95. But it was at the expense of noise. If you plan on using your computer 100% all day (which I don't recommend) and noise isn't an issue, get Enermax. If you only want to run at 100% for a short time and work silently for most of the day, get Noctua. With Threadripper, I can't imagine there's a need to run at this level of performance except under extreme or artificial conditions, so Noctua is the clear winner for me. One problem: I couldn't add a second fan to this cooler even though it came with a bracket. It made a noticeable noise when I tried it even though they were both on the same Y-splitter. Contacted Noctua and they confirmed the issue. Not sure why they included a second mount when they knew installation was a problem. In any case, it cools so well that it is not a problem. I just sent the fan back.
