Cannot cool 3960x under heavy all-core workload

Pros: Relatively easy to install. Calm. Good build. Cons: Even with a second 140mm fan installed, it can't stop the 3960x CPU from over-throwing when all cores are fully loaded for more than 2-3 minutes. Contacted Noctua support prior to purchase and specifically asked if this block could keep the 3960x from over-throttling under all core loads. They confirmed that it has been tested and will keep the CPU under its thermal throttle even under long-term stress on all cores. This turned out not…

Almost perfect: internals

Pros: - Outstanding performance compared to other coolers (including industry leading water coolers) - Excellent quality parts and packaging (no cons) in high quality piping and excellent fan quality) - Including additional mounting brackets for an additional fan and including thermal fluid. - Silent Cons: - Not suitable in many cases - Restricts access to the top PCI-E port (couldn't plug my GPU into the top port, I had to move it to the next port, which now prevents me from running NV…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I have no dislikes, everything is fine

I bought a Noctua U14s to replace my Enermax Liqtech TR4 360mm that had failed or was leaking through my GTX1080Ti and PSU for 2 months of moderate use (btw Enermax if you're reading this , Contact the customer support). it's terrible. Can never contact anyone). Although this air-cooled heatsink doesn't bring my CPU temp below 32C at idle. It does a very good job of keeping my 1950x below 50°C at 75% load. To be honest, I do a lot of virtual labs and flight sims (hobbies) and it rarely happens…

I've never been so happy with a purchase. I'm not joking.

TL;DR: This cooler absolutely hits the park and maintains a stable and constant CPU temperature of 55-60°C (70°C max case temperature) at 100% usage with Prime95. Installation was an absolute breeze and took no time at all (<5 minutes). I ordered this because it's almost impossible to find decent AIO coolers online at the moment (everything is sold out), so figured I'd get it as a temporary measure while I waited. I mean it's less than half the price of a good AIO so how good can it be? I…

Best Threadripper Cooler You Can Buy

Bought both an Enermax LIQTECH TR4 360 and a Noctua NH-U14S TR4-SP3 for a Threadripper 1950X overclocked to 4.0GHz. I wanted to try both. After a week of use, Enermax came back for a refund. In short, the fans are too loud. Both coolers do a great job of cooling: Enermax outperforms Noctua on a 20-minute overclock with Prime95. But it was at the expense of noise. If you plan on using your computer 100% all day (which I don't recommend) and noise isn't an issue, get Enermax. If you only want to…

Great cooler for AMD TR4 1900x

I needed another cooler while my Enermax AIO is on the way to RMA and hopefully will be replaced. I picked it because reviews (outside of Revain) said it gets the job despite being an air cooler. I also have other Nactua fans in this setup and other devices around the house. In general they work very well. Well they were right. I get lower temperatures with this air cooler than ever before with the enermax liquid AIO. Of course, the Enermax was clearly defective (thanks for not emailing me…

Bought to replace Enermax Liqtech TR4 version 1

So I became the victim of an Enermax debacle, thanks to Gamer Nexus for providing the results of a months long investigation. I noticed an increase in idle temps over the last 5 months to the first week of October 2019 when I saw idle temps of 55C which made no sense to me. Went to RMA Liqtech and luckily get a free replacement but figured I need a backup as my job doesn't allow me to be out of the loop. That being said, I went with Noctua as AIOs don't have long lifespans (who knew, a year for
