This is my first monitor and wow! What a huge difference replacing the small flip screen Canon M50. Initially I had a few issues connecting HDMI with the cable that came with it, but the connections may just need to be looped through. Now the supplied cable works perfectly. I bought a longer cable to have more room for camera placement, but the cable was defective. His replacement works perfectly. The display is non-touch, so using the M50's buttons to navigate the camera's menus and controls just takes a little getting used to. The great thing is that I can now keep the monitor close to me no matter where I place the camera or what I'm shooting. I mainly shoot talking head videos and desktop drawing videos. Now I can make sure everything stays in frame where it should be and I don't have to stop what I'm drawing to look at the camera's tiny flip screen. This monitor helped take my shots to the next level, from guaranteed sharp manual focus to getting the exposure and lighting right. I'm very glad I bought this 7" monitor and not a smaller monitor. The more the merrier!
