Full Disclosure: I bought it as part of a discount from the manufacturer. Let me start with a problem we have: a square shape can look odd next to a decor depending on the taste of your home and decor, but only when lit. Our house was built in the 60's or 70's and when we bought it a few years ago we redesigned the entryway and kitchen/dining room to give it a little refreshment. The rest of the house and its purpose (stucco molding, room shapes, doors, etc.) are somewhat traditional. Our street is one of the few in the city without street lights, so it can get quite dark at night even though it's only a block from a major intersection with lots of shopping malls, fast food outlets, and bars. The master bedroom is actually the only room upstairs and the narrow staircase can be dangerous in the dark. It has light, but its brightness can sometimes wake up children in the first-floor bedrooms. Step into these wonderful little night lights from Vont. Each one only takes up one socket, leaving the second wide open even if we had the largest plug. They're light-sensitive, so they only turn on at night (or when plugged in behind furniture in a dark corner). The amount of light they put out is a little less than a small, low wattage table lamp, but it's bright white LED light instead of the orange light of a standard night lamp. After a few nights we can say without a doubt that these lights have made our bedroom stairs safer for us and our three year old who loves to sneak into our bed before sunrise. If we needed more than the 6 included in this pack I would certainly buy more.
