Sure this bottle opener looks great installed on the dock but now that it's been installed on my friend's (it was a gift from me) I've seen that he opens bottles perfectly which is not given for all openers. You need to open the bottle by hooking the cap at the bottom of the bottle opener and pulling the bottom of the bottle up. If you do this, your beer will not spill. Do not try to hook the top of the lid at the top of the opener and pull the base down. This will definitely spill the beer as the beer will flow to the lid and splash when the lid is opened. Nobody wants it. As long as you draw the bottle correctly, it's perfect!
