I bought a drill from the same manufacturer which I recommend for easy installation. The drill is in the shape of a saw, so it's great for a metal door as it eliminates the large burrs created by a standard twist drill. I'm not sure how well this works on a wooden door. Others have raised concerns about the eyelet being pulled in place due to the small slits on the back. I used a utility knife blade taped over the sharp side and used the back as a screwdriver blade which worked great. A spatula can be an alternative. In general, a simple installation with cleaning takes about 10-15 minutes.
