Although Cat5e is an old standard, it offers the speeds I need. I have a 400Mbps internet connection at home and Cat5e is still more than enough. I chose it over Cat6 cables simply because it's flat, thin and takes up less space than Cat6 or 7 cables in the tight space on my desk. Since I only needed a few feet of cable, I didn't have to worry about interference . If you are looking for a thin cable with good build quality and high speed, this is a good choice.
