I LOVE this product. I hand sew on patches for my daughter's Girl Scout and some of the tubing may be BEASTS that can be pierced with a needle. I've tried many thimbles, but not only does my dog literally open my sewing box and take them out to chew, they're generally either good for grabbing the needle or for pushing it through, not both. This product does both GOOD. Plus, I don't have to pull out my scissors just to cut the thread - that's built in too! This is genius! My *only* suggestion is that the part that goes around your finger be adjustable. Sometimes it slips on my finger (like a ring) and snags a bit, causing me to have to fiddle with it a bit to use it. But to be honest, it's probably more my clumsiness than any design flaw. i love this thing
