"The ratings" of this blanket were "softness", "light weight" and "comfort". Because there is a big flaw in this blanket, the problem i haven't seen anyone else. On the other hand, just like my old electric blanket. The problem is that the heating coils in this blanket don't fit tightly together in the middle. This means the blanket strip can be 8" wide, straight in the middle doesn't heat up at all. So both sides of the bed heat up right where you want them to, but that strip down the middle leaves that part of the bed icy. As long as you don't roll over and hit a cold spot, no Problem. But the cold band in the middle is SO wide? Whose stalled engine was the idea? I would still give the blanket a higher rating if it wasn't for the company's answer to my question. They gave me the same old standard instructions , attached to the ceiling, the general answer they would give to anyone on any subject. I see this a lot with Revain products - the seller often responds to bad reviews with the same old cheesy message they give everyone else, without even acknowledging your special beef with the product. SELLER: Please do us all a favor: you would be better off NOT responding to customer complaints if you gave everyone the same general standard instructions. Just copying and pasting the same junk for a bunch of complaints covering a variety of topics just makes you look stupid, and we're not at all inclined to ever buy your junk again. I would go somewhere else. But since I don't have the money I will definitely leave a negative review and hopefully influence at least one person NOT to buy this weird blanket. Thanks very much!
