Review on 🐟 Seachem Purigen 2 Pack: Ultimate Water Purifier for Freshwater & Saltwater Aquariums by Meghan Saylor

I bought this for my son's 20 gallon tank to replace other stuff in his filter. Overall it works great, with a few caveats. First you need to rinse Purigen well to get rid of the cloudiness. If you've ever washed rice, the concept is the same and it basically takes forever to get to the point where you declare it's good enough. That's not true, but the initial cloudiness in my tank disappeared in the morning, leaving crystal clear water. Another complaint I had was the bag itself. I was hoping for something more flexible to refill the filter, Seachem itself. However, it's so rigid that you can't bend or bend it well. Which leads to my complaint. The hard bag is poorly sealed at the seams and tears easily, resulting in incredibly little Purigen resin spillage. I almost threw it all away but decided to seal the packaging with my wife's hair straightener. It took some effort but I sealed it without losing too much resin. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase. It does a great job; You can charge/regenerate it multiple times, resulting in a low cost. I just wish it was in a more flexible bag to fit my filter better.
