Not effective for climbing and burns my skin

I was excited to try the Primo chalk because there are some great reviews. But this is definitely not suitable for climbing, as it hurts the skin and becomes oily from sweat. Ever since I started climbing, the skin on my fingertips has been peeling, but not from calluses. I suspect this is due to the use of chalk and no matter what chalk I try the problem persists. I've read some reviews on Primo Chalk that seemed to suggest it would help with this problem. However, I have found that I have a completely different problem when climbing with Primo Chalk – the skin on my fingertips burns. It looks like a chemical burn. It's normal for my skin to hurt when climbing. But the problem with Primo is much more serious than usual and it's a very different feeling than usual. It has shortened my climbing sessions because I can't hold on with the burning pain. Plus, it's just as inefficient as chalk. Like cheaper crayons (e.g. Metolius) it doesn't dry out your hands but makes them greasy. I read the seller's responses to negative reviews saying not to smear too much and wash your hands before using chalk. I followed this advice and tried not to write too much. But it just doesn't stay on my hands long enough and I chalk like I would use regular magnesium carbonate chalk like BD Black Gold, except Primo chalk builds up and turns into a greasy layer that makes it difficult to stick to the stone . more difficult. Between those two problems, this chalk is not only useless, it's counterproductive. I really hoped this thing would help my skin heal, but it only hurt it more. I suspect it will be normal for weightlifters to only have to sign chalk a few times per session before heavy sets (hence my two stars instead of one), although I don't see why you'd want to spend so much money chalk for it this purpose. . But when rock climbing it's cumbersome and inefficient, not to mention the ridiculously expensive chalk. I'm going back to plain old chalk.
