2002 Silv 2500HD extended short cab with 6.0 muffler fits perfectly. You will also need to purchase the matching Walker exhaust pipe and 3 clamps. Optional but probably necessary are 3 rubber isolators (hangers). If you check the Walker web catalogue, the instructions say the stock exhaust should be trimmed "behind the welds". It was a vague headache, but I found I had to cut two pipes as close as possible to the weld at the front of the factory muffler. Walker's new muffler inlets slide right over the factory pipes, so you don't need a weld on the pipes. 2 clips and you're done. The new exhaust pipe is routed into the muffler outlet. 1 clip and you're done. No welding, no adapters, nothing else needed. It should be an easy task. Ready in 30 minutes or less. The first impression is that it is a bit louder than the factory exhaust. However, that doesn't sound stupid at all.
