Review on 🚚 B&W GNXA4085 Gooseneck Extender for Trailer Hitches by Robert Demissie

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Makes all the difference in a short bed.

My wife and I have our toughest hitch challenge ever: Nissan Titan Pro 4X with a short deck only 5.5ft, gooseneck trailer and black and white art under the hitch (limited seat on the Nissan very close to our cabin). The trailer with the extension pivots about 2 inches, so without it we would hit the corners of the truck cab. The extension itself is very durable and is welded to the bullet. The plate is thick enough to easily clean the factory body, this is an issue with other brands of lower hitches. It also increases the clearance between the truck's rear door and the trailer's spare tire by 4 inches. Just looking at the picture on the web does not reflect the weight and strength of this product. Before buying, you need to have a good understanding of the geometry of what you want to draw. Our rig doesn't work with many trailers (but I wouldn't use Titan alone to pull them). They make big offsets that attach to the trailer for really wide trailers. It's the perfect product when a little extra ground clearance is required, while still allowing full use of our truck's bodywork when not being towed.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some little things
