Review on πŸ“ Kynup Stainless Waterproof Protection Measuring by Jump Robinson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I should have bought a cheaper model

I had four other digital calipers and they all drew the same amount of current as when on. To ensure the caliper would work when I needed it, I removed the battery before putting it back in the box. Tiny screws hold the Kynup battery cover in place. Frequent removal causes problems. The ad said it would turn off automatically. I bought one and found that it switches 21 microamps on and off. The big downside was the display. My photo compares it to a $10 caliper. The contrast is bad, the decimal places are small. The photo was taken outdoors on a sunny day. It had been cloudy the previous afternoon and I couldn't make out the smaller numbers because of the light coming in through the five kitchen windows. The numbers are small so they can serve as denominators for ordinary fractions. This is an idea whose time has not yet come. For example, I measured the diameter of the can at 2 and 57/64 inches. The next increment is 2 and 115/128 inches, then 2 and 29/32, etc. It's easier to measure in decimals than in fractions with a changing denominator. The decimal for this jar is 2.8915". The calculator can convert them to ordinary fractions. If I want 64ths, multiplying 0.8915 by 64 gives 57.056. If I want 16ths, multiplying gives 14.264. have the same Design flaws: hard-to-see decimal digits and a switch that doesn't actually turn off Update: I'm very happy with the Clockwise DCLR-0605.
