These pieces work great for my small aquarium but I bought them hoping they would have quartz inclusions that would contrast better with my black substrate . Pictured here (above) are 3 of the 4 items that showed quartz after washing. The fourth baked a thin layer in the middle. Only one part has a decent amount of inclusions and is quite small. The other 5 pounds of what the rocks look like in front of it is just shale. Nice hardscape but not as shown or even shown by other reviewers.
