how much they cost these are good binoculars. I use them for backyard bird watching but would never consider taking them out in the field for a number of reasons: Pros: Inexpensive. Good quality pictures/views for what they offer. My kids aged 9-11 loved them and were easy to use. Comfortable but a little heavy Cons - They produce dark images - Not enough light penetrates, leading to rapid eye fatigue, especially in the early morning and at dusk - The right eyepiece is adjustable for an individual visual fit, as well always it seems to go slightly fuzzy during the day. .- The focus is not accurate enough. I find it very easy to roll over the focus point and have to "fall back" and refocus. I have very good manual dexterity and fine motor skills, but I still have trouble getting a picture quickly. Friend if you want to introduce someone to birds. BUT I would cautiously warn the user that these binoculars are a bit "temperamental" and the tuning needs to roll back and forth a bit. I am looking for a second set of binoculars for the other bird watching window in my house and am hesitant to buy a second pair.
