Perler Biggie Beads Template Set

We played with smaller Perler beads, but my grandchildren (5 and 3 years old) had difficulty completing the patterns and placing the beads correctly due to their small size. . . even girls who have very good fine motor skills for their age. I found that they make larger beads so I ordered these and thought we could give it a try. The kids really liked them! They are simply placed on the pattern with your fingers. They didn't need any special tools to get them where they wanted. Even her little brother (he is 2 years old) could play with the big set. The set includes everything you need except beads, which must be purchased separately. Works with Biggie Perler Beads. . . NOT with the smaller size. Comes with a set of colored paper samples. You place the template in a tray that fits under the clear "bead board". The drawing is clearly visible through the panel. You can then place the beads on the "pegs" on the bead board over the marked pattern to create the pattern. Then place the finished project on an iron and ironing board, apply special non-stick paper to the beads, and iron the beads thoroughly with a medium-sized iron. Ironing large beads takes longer than fusing small beads, and you will need to "turn" the piece and iron both sides to ensure the piece stays together. Biggie beads also retain iron heat for much longer, so be careful if you handle them for a while. or get burned. But Biggie bead projects that you can create with this set will be great fun for the little ones. Some of the models included in the set include a car, truck, ladybug, spider, seahorse, octopus and various fruits. , various balls, butterfly and much more. A sheet of ironing paper is also included. You can also use a blank bead board to create your own design. Of course, you don't have to iron the project together if you don't want to keep the finished project. or you want to reuse beads, but my grandfathers loved showing their creations to everyone. Five-year-olds could complete their projects themselves (except for ironing the finished product, which is an adult job). Three and two year olds needed help to complete their projects. You need to buy the beads separately. You can get a bucket of Biggie beads for about a dozen projects, depending on the colors you use and the size of the designs you choose. I would recommend this Biggie Bead Pattern Set. My grandchildren had a lot of fun with it and I can imagine that we will use it often in the future. You really need to use some sort of beading board to create a beading project without too much frustration and hassle and this product fits the bill perfectly. and I expect we'll be using it quite a bit in the future.
