Review on Experience Theater-Like Projection With Sewinfla 90" Double-Sided Projector Screen For Home & Outdoors by Tom Ball

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Value non stretchy screen that needs ironing

Different projection screens use different technology to achieve a good experience. While other screens use stretchy material that eliminates wrinkles when stretched, this screen uses a rougher non stretchy material comes with many folding creases that need to be ironed out. Even when it is stretched out, there are still noticeable creases. The lower quality is also reflected in a few loose threads near the bezel, although those wouldn’t affect the viewing experience from a normal distance. For mounting, the thick and lightly weighted bezel on the border of the screen has a Velcro surface. The corresponding Velcro tape is included in the box to allow securely attaching the screen to a wall along the entire border. This also makes this screen more resilient to wind than screens that mount with periodic mounting points, since there is no gap for air to enter behind the screen and make it flutter. If you prefer mounting by string, fairly spaced loops are available too.If you want a temporary screen that you can take out of storage, unfold and use and get the best experience, this screen isn’t it. If you’re looking at the 120” screen, the $30, 120” version uses the same material then you could get a potentially better screen of that size elsewhereIf you just need a permanent 90” screen and don’t mind doing a bit of one time work to smooth it out, this $12.99 (discounted to $9.99 as of this review) screen is decent value and can be had for far lower price than other projector screens.

Pros
  • Good low price screen
Cons
  • This turned up being just like a sheet with black trim.
