Much better than USB cigarette lighter adapter
DC power connectors (regular lighters) are notorious for losing connection due to vibration. The USB adapters connected to it are just as bad. I got tired of hearing my phone telling me the charge/discharge status every time the pavement got bumpy, so I ordered a few and installed them in convenient spots in my van. Now my phone charges non-stop while I ride the roughest roads.
