At first I wasn't sure if this little device would do what I needed, which was to dehumidify a small camp. I decided to try it out for a week before writing a review. I emptied the container once. The water level that he takes from the room is clearly visible. Emptying the jar is no problem, it's small, lightweight even when full, and the lid on top of the jar helps reduce any spills that may occur when removing it from the device. The light helps to see the water level in the tank. I can hear it while running, the noise level is like a constant fan, you can hear it but it's smooth and soon becomes non-existent. The fact that it removes moisture is more important and the noise level is less important. At first I thought it generated more heat and waited to see if that feeling would go away once the humidity was controlled. In fact, the room isn't as hot as it was when you first turned on the device, and now you're quite comfortable in it. The pantry has fabric, cotton wool, styrofoam, Christmas supplies, paperwork, everything you need to keep the moisture out. I have used DampRid in the past and still love the product but this room needed something a little more aggressive and this dehumidifier is perfect. I wish I hadn't thought of looking for this sooner, but better late than never.
