lost potential. Disappointing design/fit and poor ANC.

Please don't waste your time and money! Read reviews and see common themes. I should have been careful. Rarely has so much potential been wasted. I bought the headset with high expectations and some caveats based on the reviews. crossed fingers Sent back after two days of use. The first and worst is that the headphones are difficult to keep in your ears. If it's not so bad that I couldn't fit any of the three sizes of earbuds in my ears (never had that problem), then the placement of the controls on the left headphone cord makes it impossible to stay indoors, except with the most comfortable fit, if you use the controls. Please believe me this is a deal breaker. PERMANENT disappointment. Second, not only is the noise-cancellation below par, its automatic Ambient Awareness feature periodically produces an intrusive beep that semi-mutes your audio when the ambient noise changes (as if you're walking into a different room). I couldn't find a way to turn off the beep when the function is saved. ANC is sad. I've used many noise-cancelling headsets and while I'm sure this headset does a good job on certain noise profiles, it seemed very useless for everyday use. For example, it didn't seem to do anything to turn off the noisy exhaust fan, while the Bose QuietComfort headphones I replaced it with made it melt like butter while still offering incredible noise-cancellation in just about any environment. I'm in a busy playground when I'm writing, and with my new Bose headphones set at medium volume, I can still hear enough to understand what's going on, while greatly reducing the severity of ambient noise becomes. At the highest level, all screams are almost gone. Can you say I'm impressed? Potential: I like the rocker design as it gives me confidence not to lose them. However, the lack of an option to tuck the buds away, or at least a built-in way to attach them to the yoke, makes them awkward and unprofessional to dangle. I could practically hide my LGs under my collar at work until I needed to use them. Potential: Ability to connect an external input such as an airplane monitor. I was REALLY looking forward to this as I fly a lot. Too bad I can't use it. High: The sound quality seemed high when the headphones were left in the headphones. Bottom line: buy a Bose or something else. This will probably annoy you.
