To make up for the lack of the included FM antenna
So my friends at Bose Radio didn't have an external FM antenna, although I didn't think such an expensive product wouldn't. A search of Revain revealed that he must have been right as the item was for sale. I bought it and shipped it to his office in Brooklyn (where you really need an antenna if you live in a brick and steel skyscraper). My friend loved this product which, when properly aligned, can silently listen to his favorite station in Newark, NJ. The purchase is highly recommended because for a cheap price you can significantly improve the performance of the basic radio.
