Great addition to my new Bose Wave

Great addition to my new Bose Wave. My Wave picked up more stations than most radios in my house, but after adding this antenna I have a wider choice of stations and fewer stations have that low static tone. It was very easy to connect and fit easily into the antenna jack on my wavelength. I can say that this product was worth it and I would recommend it for better intake. I have less than a minute to install it. I use my Bose in my kitchen and it sits above my fridge, this antenna was easy to…

Pros
  • Audio and video accessories
Cons
  • Long time

When two of my computer customers complained that their Bose Wave radios had very poor FM reception, I, as an electronics engineer and computer consultant, took a closer look at them. I noticed they had VHF antenna jacks so I bought them and when I plugged them in both women were delighted with the crystal clear reception they are now getting even on some more distant stations. These antennas are of very good quality and you too will be amazed by the increased range.

Compensates for missing FM antenna

So my Bose radio friends didn't include an external FM antenna, despite my incredulity that such an expensive product wouldn't include one. A search of Revain revealed that he must have been right as the item was for sale. I bought it and shipped it to his office in Brooklyn (where you really need an antenna if you live in a brick and steel skyscraper). My friend loved this product which, when properly aligned, can silently listen to his favorite station in Newark, NJ. The purchase is highly…

fair price, good result, but ugly!

I bought a Bose Wave radio about 8 years ago and actually got the antenna along with the radio; it had much thinner silver wires. I lost this antenna. I live in Northwest New Jersey and LOVE the WQXR; classic station from New York and can't tune in even though the radio is on the second floor of my house on the hill. This antenna picks up QXR quite clearly. Not crystal clear but clean enough to enjoy! The antenna is about the same length as the original but as can be seen in the photo it is 1/2

Pros
  • Type F T-dipole antenna with F jack to 3.5mm adapter
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Works great on FM. Seems very sturdy and stores easily.

This is a rugged, portable thumbtack antenna of the type supplied with home stereo systems in the 80's and 90's. When opened, it has the shape of the letter "T". You can't go wrong with this proven design. It has an F-type connector, similar to what works with cable TV. It's just an adapter so you can connect it to something like a weather radio, which is what I use it for. Especially with the Sangean DT-400W. It works "just fine" with weather frequencies and it takes a bit of work at my house…

  • Supplied with 3.5 jack adapter
