I didn't know there were screen protectors for Apple Watch until I saw them at a colleague's. Unfortunately, the realization only came after I dropped mine and smashed the thin screen at the edge of one corner of my vision. I decided to put it aside and save some money to buy another one since "insurance" was supposed to cost $200 to fix or replace it. I'm so glad I decided to try this. This protective film completely hides defects and the watch works perfectly. So it's worth buying. Oh, and the color options (I'm currently using a rhinestone face) are very handy.
