You are better than nothing.

Overall I'd say it's reasonably decent, but no more. I bought these right before the MSF class because I needed something to cover/protect my hands for a while. Having chosen a good helmet and course, they had to be cheap and they fit the bill. When I first got them they felt great, fit well and felt like they had good protection. It took about a month for them to start falling apart. The first thing to do was attach the velcro to the cuffs, it tore at the seam and detached from the rubber pad you grab to open the cuff. Every time I've taken the gloves off they've loosened up a bit more, until now they just hang on the glove and do absolutely nothing but flap in the wind and be annoying. The second thing that started to confuse me was the seam between the fingers on the right glove. Although it took 3-4 months. The only thing I can think of is the throttle hand, which is used all the time. It doesn't get a ton into the holes between the fingers, but it lets more air into the glove. With the seams coming undone so easily after only a few months of riding, I'm not entirely sure how well they will protect your hands. if you really need it However, I didn't do a crash test, so I can't vouch for that part. I got my hands on a few bugs, they really sting, but any leather glove can handle them. They do not function properly as protection against cold or moisture. Perforated leather might be good for a hot day, but nothing more. If you live in western Washington and don't drive on cold or rainy days, you really don't drive much. So they weren't very good at that. Even a light rain will quickly soak them, and cold air will flow through them, throwing a small hail and you will feel like someone is piercing your hands with tiny ice sickles. equipment they will work, but don't plan on using them for a long period of time.
