This bad boy is tough and tough. The cocking mechanism is awesome. Easy, twist and twist. I'm amazed at how the neck stays in place. However, it's clear that it doesn't defy gravity. It stays in place, but there's a slight tremor, like it's floating. But only when attached to something that moves. I attached it to mine car door and used it to store my tablet as a GPS. Slight lag but nothing to make it intolerable or distracting. I installed it on my closet door so I can watch TV while on the elliptical. It stayed on too In place, but it naturally wobbles when you touch it.
