OEM replacement works great. An engine code P0128 was displayed indicating the thermostat was not closing as intended and the engine temperature was too low. The needle usually happens around 11:00 left of center. The coolant temperature is usually between 190 and 200F, which is normal. I don't know what happened that morning. Maybe it was an accident. I didn't want to risk it so I just swapped it out. Super easy job. You will need a flathead screwdriver and a 10mm socket. This part I believe will fit any 2011-2015 3.6L Pentastar engine. Remove the engine's decorative heat shield by simply pulling upwards. It just shows up. Loosen the two clamps on the air intake, one next to the air box/filter and the other on the intake manifold. Take out and set aside. I used a small container (or bucket) to catch the coolant as about a liter or more will spill when you remove the thermostat. Loosen the clamp on the radiator hose to the thermostat and wiggle it to allow the coolant to drain into the bucket. Use a 10mm socket to remove the two screws on the thermostat. This is where it really came out. Don't let it get everywhere. Assemble in reverse order. I'm not sure about the tightening torque of the screws. I just made them pretty neat. It's just plastic, so you don't want to go crazy. I put back about a quarter of the new coolant and bled the line with the little bleed valve on top of the thermostat. Just start the engine and loosen that little cap until it leaks and you should be set. I did this a few times to make sure all the air came out. Everything has been working great ever since and I haven't seen the code in over a month. I recommend this product unreservedly.
