don't buy anything else!

DO NOT GET TEMPTED TO BUY ANOTHER BRAND WHEN REPLACING YOUR 3.6 WRANGLER. PREVIOUS OWNER PURCHASED ONE FROM THE PARTS SHOP AND 5 MONTHS LATER THE THERMOSTAT REMAINS OPEN. JUST BUY THE MOPAR BRAND. VERY SIMPLE INSTALLATION. I ADVISE IF IT COUNTS IN KILOMETERS REPLACE THE THERMOSTAT YOURSELF THEN BRING IT IN AND GET EVERYTHING FLUSHED AND TORN AT THE DEALER IF YOU TAKE A REASONABLE PRICE.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • functionality

Genuine Mopar Part, Fixes Code P0128.

Our 2012 Jeep GC had our check engine light come on. Uses a Bluetooth ODB2 reader with the Torque app to read the code. P0128. A little research and it looks like the Tgis thermostat is the solution. Arrived quickly and was very easy to install. It is possible that a liter of coolant was lost during replacement. I've used the Torque app to clear the check engine light and it's been working great for weeks now.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Nothing here

Leak fixed on 2014 jku

Perfect fit for my 2014 Jeep JKU. I noticed the sweet smell of antifreeze and noticed the engine getting hot. I was low on coolant, I learned that they are plastic and like to get microcracks and leaks. YES, when my engine was turned off and allowed to cool after a ride, after about 15 minutes of cooling it started leaking out of the crack. A common problem. That fixed it for now. Until this plastic fails too. Hopefully in a few years.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great Part, Best Price, Easy Do It Yourself

$200 Saved! I used YouTube to see how to replace the thermostat myself, it took about 40 minutes. I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. It was easy and I'm a girl :) Highly recommended! The Check Engine light hasn't come on for over a month (it was on constantly, the thermostat read the code). The inspection went without any problems. Just wear safety goggles when doing repairs so the splashes don't get in our eyes. Great item at a great price, saved a lot of $$!

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • No Car

Mopar part for engine cooling and air conditioning

I wanted an OE thermostat, I checked the Mopar website and matched the part number, Mopar part and works great, it opens at 203 degrees now It keeps the temperature stable. I installed this on a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6, the original parts were made in Mexico. Spare part number: 05184651AG; 05184655AD; 05184655AE; 05184651AF; 5184651AH There is a casting number on the side of the case, mine was 05184651AF and has been replaced with 05184651AH

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

More expensive but worth it

I had a problem with the thermostat in my 2014 Grand Cherokee and replaced it with an aftermarket O'Reillys thermostat. A few months later the engine always seemed to be overheating and the radiator fan was running at full speed all the time. I ended up thinking it might be the thermostat, so not wanting to risk another poorly performing part, I ordered a Mopar part ($$$). Even though I was annoyed that I paid 50% more, after the replacement my jeep was working fine again. So it's clear that…

  • Easy to use

Easy to Install: Thermostat Housing

Normally nobody in South Texas cares if your Jeep Wrangler's thermostat is stuck in South Texas. Today, April 9th, it will be 98 degrees Fahrenheit in San Antonio. Reached a low of 7F in mid-February. The driving was as cold as in Germany in 1963 with an M42 army jeep. Because of frost all dealers were closed. I watched YouTube videos several times and did it myself. I'm happy to report that there are only four 10mm screws to loosen. This 78-year-old man installed a new unit in less than 30…

Good price for the original part and the latest version

Installed on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with 3.6L engine. Unbeatable OEM Parts! When I removed the old one, it didn't have the OEM thermostat and housing, nor the Mopar symbol or markings. That's probably why the coolant ran out. After doing some research, I noticed that there have been a few changes over the years. It looks like the latest version so I hope I don't have to do it again. This actually solved the problem and still works today. I have a Trail Dash 2 and always see…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction

  • Unreliable

2012 Dodge Durango for Thermostat Housing

OEM replacement works great. An engine code P0128 was displayed indicating the thermostat was not closing as intended and the engine temperature was too low. The needle usually happens around 11:00 left of center. The coolant temperature is usually between 190 and 200F, which is normal. I don't know what happened that morning. Maybe it was an accident. I didn't want to risk it so I just swapped it out. Super easy job. You will need a flathead screwdriver and a 10mm socket. This part I believe…
