If they ever die or run out of extra batteries I'll buy the same ones for replacements. I just changed the batteries in one and have been using it for 11 months now. The one with weak batteries worked overtime. It's in the basement. In Florida. On the waterfront. So it showed 99% humidity the whole time. The poor thing must be just as exhausted and overheated as me! I have another set of batteries and the other gauge still works. I can't remember the last $5 I spent as long as this pair of hygrometers! They might not be accurate enough to do science experiments for a college thesis, but they're CLOSE to it. And that was all it took me to get an idea of how the humidity level in the basement compares to the rest of the house and how that level changes with the season and the rain. I think the humidity readings are more accurate than the temperature readings which sometimes show 4* from the thermostat BUT my goals are really humidity readings. Totally happy with this purchase and will buy the same again if this pair fails or all batteries die. The extra batteries alone are probably worth the full cost. # Battery life is excellent # Accuracy is pretty close # Happy customer
