The metal parts are painted and can easily wear or peel off.
About a week later, the metal parts of the bracelet started to discolor quite a lot. The bright aluminum color looks freshly painted and rubs or scratches off skin, clothing or fingernails when touched. See attached photo after about 8 weeks of light wear. The strap itself is fine, if a bit stiff. It's fairly cheap, so it's not the end of the world, but be aware that if you try a band that goes with the Ionic look, that look might not last long.
