Review on ๐ŸŽง Enhanced Sony D-NS505 S2 Sports ATRAC Walkman CD Player by Mark Estrada

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Only for ATRAC-3 fans (obsolete after 2010)

This article is obsolete. Atrac-3 is no longer supported. Why buy now? Okay, back in 2008 if you want to read on. This Sony MP3 and ATRAC-3 player is worth buying if you have a lot of ATRAC-3 music discs and want to keep your collection rather than swapping out for MP3. This is basically a review in a nutshell. You can read on if you are a SONY Product Improvement Manager and you are wondering "How can I improve this player?โ€ First of all, the SPORT theme is excellent. Nice solid look and the buttons don't bounce around when lightly touched. So you can put this baby in your sweatpants, gym bag, etc. and it won't activate anything. It was a problem with the Sony DNF430. Every time I reached for it, the music changed. So buttons can decide or break their practical use in the field of sporting activities. Good job with this model. It should get 5 stars here. Second, the bracelet should be optional. Due to the size of the CD player, it is not convenient to hold it in the palm of your hand or tie it to your arm. It really should be on the belt or in a belt pouch. I'm comfortable with a pocket camera in my fanny pack, and I'm also comfortable with my phone in my fanny pack. There are many products on the market that I can buy that suit my needs. However, this sports CD player does not fit in a pocket due to the protruding handle. Aggravating? Yes. Maximum. The practical use of this sports CD player is very limited.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Without automation
