Review on πŸ”’ Durable and Versatile: Cardinal Gates Expandable MG-25 Duragate in Black by Nick Kirschenmann

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent gate, meets all my requirements!

I had a hard time finding a gate that would help us keep our pup in the downstairs living space and keep him from climbing upstairs, into the garage, and into the bathroom . . The spot where we wanted to place the gate has walls that don't directly face each other and is also wider than a regular door. Most gates I found that worked at an angle had a small door and a step barrier. goal, which I didn't like that much. I wanted one that opens completely. I found a couple of gates wide enough to tilt and open all the way, but there was one. The last thing I needed was height! This gate is no higher than the others I've looked at, but you can purchase an increase which I plan to purchase in the near future. Just black and white, I like the color. I installed it myself and it wasn't difficult at all, it just took my time to make sure I lined everything up correctly. I actually reinstalled it with the door on the outside of my wall because I installed it at the end of the wall first and of course it bumped into the wall when opening. Thanks to the way it's attached, it can now fully open up and snuggle up against the wall when I need it. I love how the latch works but I would like to remove the part that swings over it as I think it is more for child safety and as we don't have children we don't need it and it might be a bit awkward use as we open and close the gate millions of times a day. But I taped it to the top of the wall so it doesn't get in the way. So far my pup hasn't jumped over it but I know he could if he really wanted to because he jumped over another gate. Front at the same level. So in the near future we plan to buy an extension cord.
