Installed in February. It's June now. The overflow switch tripped twice so I'm glad the feature worked. The overflow switch is about 1 inch higher than the high water level. This means I have to keep the water level in the aquarium lower than I want for the overflow switch to work. I use a 5 gallon bucket as a backup tank so worst case scenario there will be about 2 gallons on the bottom. It would be much better if the switches were side by side as backup switches or even offset touches. They are generous with the amount of hose they give you. I had to remove about two feet because in my case the pump couldn't go the vertical distance. With a shorter hose, the pump does its job perfectly. Overall, for the price, I think it's good enough for the job.
