They glow normally, but there is no positioning aid.

These tips handle heat well, but are difficult to align for consistency. They are round and there is no marking where the bottom or top of the letter is. At first I used a permanent marker to mark them but it faded with heat. I had to use a file to make a visible print.

4. Screw thread provides extra security during use. Use pliers to change hot letters. When unscrewing when hot, use pliers and unscrew carefully. Do not bend the thread when unscrewing, as it can break in the tool.
