Blink outdoor cameras are great. They were well designed, work flawlessly, but. If you use them a lot, they'll eat up batteries like potato chips at a party. Check out this power supply. Pros: Standard USB outlet, 25ft thin cable, snug-fitting camera plug to keep water out (but I still recommend using affordable weatherproof cases). The Bad: Although the cable is very thin, they have a full-size USB connector on one end (for power) and a mini-USB connector on the other end, mounted in a hefty rectangular socket. So you have a choice of drilling a 5/8 hole in the wall and catching the full size USB end, or drilling a 7/8 hole and catching the other end (good luck with that on the right angled one Configuration). Yes, they saved money by using a standard USB power adapter, but at the cost of having to drill a fairly large hole in the wall when it could have been a lot smaller if they used a different, ie smaller one would have used plugs. If you need to drill through a thick wall, buying an extra long 1/4" or 3/8" bit is expensive, but nothing compared to buying a 5/8" or 7/8" -Brillers. And if you have to go through a brick wall, forget dreams just to run through the mortar. Anything under a quarter inch would be ideal, even if it required plugging into an adapter to still use a full-size USB power adapter. Someone didn't think twice when designing this product and they need to be given some time off.
