I bought a pen and pencil to smooth the wear and tear on the dark wood floors. The pen is very easy to use, usually gives me the right color and can be applied in many different ways. For superficial scratches, it is advisable to use a pen, not deeper and not wider (better with a pencil). Because the pen cannot penetrate deeper and gaps appear in the coating. But I should note that when it dries, even after I wiped off the excess amount, you can still see it filling in the scratch on the wood floor. This is because unless the scratch is perfectly aligned with the grain, it will not match the direction or cut of the wood. So while it gives you something more gender specific, it still catches your eye when you look at it. Just something to meet your expectations.
