So far so good, best in collars

I have a 75 lb lab mix and a 60 lb Shepard mix that like to play with a ruff! Okay, that's the only pun I promise. When I mean rude, I mean banging each other against fences, walls, people, etc. with full force. They will try to rip each other's collars off, gnaw each other's heads, and sound like they're trying to kill each other. That's normal at home. You will never really hurt yourself. The only problem is our municipal dog park. I will never allow my dogs to fight with other people's dogs. These shock collars are the perfect training tool to teach my puppies what is and isn't allowed in public places. I mainly use the beep and vibrate functions and reserve the shock for serious situations. Unfortunately, with large dogs you never know how two people will react to each other and these collars are a great way to keep things in check when there are a lot of dogs running around. My dog has recently started chasing puppies. She never hurt anyone, but she probably caused PTSD in a few unfortunate little furballs. She goes into pre-shock pre-shock due to scary behavior (the vet said this is probably a phase and needs to be addressed in training). I used an old set of collars almost the same as these and they worked great, but one was too damaged to work (I DID say they played hard!) which is why we have these three Bought sets. Now I can keep training with them and make sure they are the best furry babies they can be. Remember that these collars are designed for TRAINING. Dogs don't magically have perfect behavior, so you need to give plenty of praise and treats during training to help the dog reach its potential.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
