Review on TMS CART CANOE KAYAK KY001 Carrier Trolley by Mike Littlejohn

I bought this to carry an 18ft sea kayak that weighs about 50lbs with some gear. The price was too low not to try. Firstly, there are no bearings in the wheels, I think that is the biggest difference between this cart and wheeled carts. Whatever lubricant was used during assembly was useless. It appears to be liquid motor oil. I've tried WD-40, silicone spray with teflon, and lithium grease. Lithium grease seems to work best, but nowhere near what it should be. These wheels are fine on a dirt or paved trail that is almost flat. On a sandy beach they are really strenuous, but that's to be expected. It is very difficult to tow a kayak uphill on a paved trail. It's better than carrying it, but it doesn't have to be that heavy. There seem to be several carts with a wide range of prices. Most of them don't seem to have wheel bearings. If you know your mining is on a flat surface, both will likely work. Is there a chance for a hill? I would spend the few hundred more and buy a Wheelez with ball bearings. I probably will. The 1" strap is fine, but I cut it in four pieces, made loops for the ends on the frame, and added another 1" buckle similar to the one that came with the kit. This greatly simplifies binding. Even with the plastic buckles, I can pull the straps tight enough to get a good connection to the kayak. The frame is good. Strong enough. Disassembled into a frame and two wheels, I can put it in my kayak's hatch. The hatches on my sea kayak are standard 17" x 10" rubber Valley style covers. Some kayak carts have a straight axle between the wheels. I don't think it will fit. I think the wheel hubs are PVC and the axles are aluminum. do you have a good lubrication tip?
