But it works. for computer accessories and peripherals

Just received and tested this product to upload photos from a 64GB SD card to my new MacBook Air with USB-C ports. It transferred images quickly, so it did what it was designed to do. My only complaint is that the USB-C connector is too tight. It's a bit tricky to plug into my MBA's port and very difficult to unplug (the white cover on the plug came off even after a few tugs. Cosmetically, but that was on first use). This adapter costs $10 and transfers photos quickly, but not if it damages one of the Macbook Air's two ports.
