Used it in my dashboard on a Suzuki Samurai. The top is always off, so I need something weatherproof. This device works great and sounds great. It bolts behind the dash with the included bracket so no one can steal it. (People take anything that isn't permanently fixed out of an open car like mine). The only problem some might have is that you have to read the instructions to access all the features. I've noticed a few reviews complaining about not being able to balance or . Compensation. I assure you that this unit has full control over damping and treble balance, as well as multiple presets for rock, pop, classic, etc. You just need to know which keys to press to access the menus you want. The LCD screen is difficult to see in direct sunlight. So if you don't have a case or cover that shades the screen, you should make one. (Easy to do) For most people with an open cockpit, where direct sunlight falls on the dashboard, the gauges and instruments are already covered. The line level outputs support 4 channels, but the RCA preamp outputs are for right and left channels only. I noticed that one reviewer was annoyed that there were only 2 channels of RCA preamp. If you have an amp with 4 RCA inputs you will only use a splitter to control the rear channels but you will not have fade control from the main unit. So if that's a problem, use the line level outputs. Finally able to use the bluetooth on my phone to connect to my sound system! (My Samurai had a super old Sony head unit that eventually died) Installed this new head unit 3 months ago. So far so good with Pyle, I'll update if I find any problems in the future.
