Review on πŸ”Œ Premium 2m Goliton AUX 3.5mm Cable: Connect iPod, iPhone, MP3, Phone Audio to Mazda Car Player by Michael Finnegan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

2007 Mazda MX-5 with Bose – Oh yes.

I wasn't 100% sure if this would work as there were different reviews and opinions (everyone has their own opinion too). But it was very easy for a 50 year old guy to win. As mentioned in other reviews, there are several videos on YouTube that describe how to remove stereo audio. When everything is in place, you're talking about six Phillips screws and one 10 mm screw (my screw was already missing, I only found that out during the last step of dismantling). Slowly unplug the radio and unplug the HVAC connector, then the radio's main wiring harness, and you're like Flint. My car had a Sirius satellite system in the secondary connector (no 10mm screw explained) so I unplugged it and plugged in this adapter. Didn't use super glue as some have suggested, might return to Sirius in the future so we'll see how long it stays in place. I routed the cable on the right (passenger) side, between the console and the glove box, the cable exits near the mini-cargo grille along the trans tunnel. The cable is long enough to fit your phone/iPod in the cup holder on the center console. So far the sound is as good as the Bose and Sirius radios (when it worked for me). For less than $20 I now have my errand tunes. 5 stars if anything changes. I'll be Bock (my best anold voice).

Cons
  • Pretty much everything is ok
