multipurpose. on waffle iron

I've had no trouble sticking waffles on. I'm not sure if the other reviewers followed the instructions. But if you oil the surface before you put the batter in and let it cook well, the waffles won't stick. I used canola oil and let it do its job. After 3 minutes I tried to open the iron. Faced with resistance, I allowed him to prepare longer. After about 5 minutes the waffle iron opened without resistance or sticking. I used the recipe in the booklet. Next time I'll add a little more vanilla to the batter. I also used the panini/grill. I like the fact that this is a dual-use machine. I only have 2 comments: - The machine seems a little flimsy, but I think it's a function of the hinge (necessary for variable height) - The metal surface has no insulation and gets very hot. I can imagine burning my fingers. Overall, given its versatility (and the fact that no other machines are multi-purpose), this is definitely a must-have. ***Update: I just got burned by an accidental touch on a metal surface. when you reach for a spatula. The burn was actually quite large and blistered. If you have children I would recommend constant supervision while using this machine.
