Over the past few years I've had the fortunate opportunity of trying out many different types of photographic equipment. I've found that there are three broad categories: heavy duty, standard use, and travel. This tripod from K&F Concept definitely belongs to this third group. I have a couple of travel tripods that do an excellent job of holding my full frame Canon 5D Mark IV with a 70-200mm lens. lens attached. I said that to mention that sometimes small and light tripods will get the job done so you don't have to lug around heavier, standard-sized mounts. K&F Concept did a great job with the design of this tripod. very light at only 3.17 lbs, comparable to my Manfrotto travel tripod. This tripod has an impressive overall height of 78 inches, which should be plenty for any type of photography. I'm shooting a wedding in a couple of weeks and I've got the idea of shooting above the audience from the back of the room. This 78 inch tripod offers just the right height to get the overhead shot I'm looking for. The ball head moves easily enough, but the numbers on the lower dial are faded and printed in a very light color. Difficult to read even in studio lighting. Personally, I think these numbers should be printed in ever brighter colors, maybe even neon. The legs slide out easily, but the quick-release buckles have very sharp edges. I tried to open one of the legs and the edge of the lock caught my finger and I was bleeding. I was surprised to find such a sharp edge on the finished product. Another issue I found was with the center column. It seemed no matter how much I tightened it, I could still push the column down. I pushed with only as much force as the camera's weight could bear. I really like that there were spikes on the legs. This provides a lot of additional traction, especially in nature. You don't see that on every tripod and was a welcome surprise with this design. Overall, the K&F Concept 78" Camera Tripod is a decent, solid, entry-level tripod. I think professional photographers can find the same flaws in it as I can. I really think a photographer of any level can benefit from it, especially in places where it can be destroyed. In other words, this is a good backup tripod.
