Update from 07/08/21 - a replacement order came in and it couldn't be programmed by a locksmith from the start. The locksmith then used his programming tool to erase all active key fobs associated with the vehicle and any additional key fobs as well as the original key fob could be programmed. I changed my overall rating from 4 to 5 stars as the original keychain is fine. The Ace hardware cut both keys for $1 each and just programmed them themselves. I had to go to Batteries Plus to program the fob. One programmed for $40 with no problems, and the second didn't program. The person tried 2 different programmers and checked if the battery is ok. Keep the bad new for spares if I ever need to replace the battery or outer case.
