Great product ✌️ Suitable for anti-theft

The key cost me $6 to have a local locksmith program the key to start with your original key, plug it into the ignition, turn the key " to "position". Start for 5 seconds Power off Queue your new key Power on Do not start for 5 seconds Power off then start and it's programmed 2 fobs and this is the device to program my fobs✌️

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Not secure

Transponder keys will not be programmed at Grand Prix 2006

I have not yet taken the fobs to the dealer for programming, but I have tried to program the transponder keys. They don't work in the 2006 Grand Prix. The Pontiac owner's manual says the keys should be marked PK3, but these keys are not. I ordered PC3 from another supplier. They cost $10 each. I'm hoping for better results with keyless fobs. If the keyless fobs worked I would be somewhat happy with this order.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Exchange possible

Save money without going to the dealer

The keys are single chip programmable keys, but you can take them to your local hardware store or Walmart and shorten the key like a driver's key. Once installed in your car door, check it out on YouTube. He teaches you how to program it to work in the ignition by turning on the car and counting to five, then removing the key and quickly inserting the blank you just cut. Ignition at the 5th count. This may need to be repeated several times. But it's great to have an extra key.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Volume

Cheap and works: anti-theft device

It was cheap and easy for a locksmith to program. You programmed in minutes. I lost my autoplay button so I'm glad it's back. But sometimes the buttons don't always work or you have to press them two or three times. But given that I paid $20 for it and $70 to program and edit it. That's still more than the thousand dollars the dealer charged me. The retailer charged $200 for each key fob and another hundred dollars for each key. That doesn't even count the fact that they cut or programmed the…

Good business. 09 Malibu

2009 Chevy Malibu LT v6 3.6 took the keys from the locksmith $5 each to cut and program them they work but sometimes a little hard to turn on and off, idk if they are - did something wrong or if they are keys but they work as emergency keys. The locksmith also programmed both key fobs for $30 but was only able to program one of them. :( The other one was dead, he said he tried another battery but still no luck. All in all it was still a good deal as the dealer charged 127.00 for 1 fob, 45 for 1

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Quality

Only 1 key fob is programmed.

Update from 07/08/21 - a replacement order came in and it couldn't be programmed by a locksmith from the start. The locksmith then used his programming tool to erase all active key fobs associated with the vehicle and any additional key fobs as well as the original key fob could be programmed. I changed my overall rating from 4 to 5 stars as the original keychain is fine. The Ace hardware cut both keys for $1 each and just programmed them themselves. I had to go to Batteries Plus to program the

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember

Check the keys before you cut them!

However if they last long it's a good price, I cut off my keys and spent an incredible amount of time trying to figure out why I couldn't get them to program. 06 Pontiac G6. Right after programming they seemed to work, but after uninstalling and reinstalling they didn't work. In the end I decided to go to a local shop where they cut them up for me to test the transponders. If you are unfamiliar, there is a chip in the keys that is powered by a signal from your ignition switch, after which the…

Pros
  • Great construction

  • Crumpled packaging
